Church For The Homebase

Last January 21 of this year, the Lord opened a church in the corner of Tandang Sora and Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City. No one had ever conceived that it would happen that fast, although prevailing circumstances and evidences were all around to support such divine plan. For instance, the three Home Bible study groups ( Villa Socorro , Project 8, Project 6 and Tandang Sora) had become very strong, quality wise, and grown in numbers through the years; a JIA chapter shelved the idea of putting up one in the same area; and ACTS , JIA Homebase Singles’ group, after their overnight prayer in Quezon province had received words and vision from the Lord to perpetuate the plan.

The Lord saw the untiring resolve and sacrifice of the men and women of God to weather the difficulty of traveling from their places of comfort to their places of ministry just to bring God’s words across the receptive hearts of the brethren, as well as those who were not of the Lord’s sheepfold yet. Then the Lord honored and rewarded their labor of love.

As if an expectant family awaiting the delivery of a new babe, the JIA Homebase’s kith and kin became excited in preparing for her needs and securing her lair. For a month, prayers and intercessions were offered to God. Spiritual mapping and Jericho march were conducted a week before the actual date of her launching. Several types of spirits were exterminated in the process until the place became spick and span.

Though on its undeveloped stage as a church, barely two and a half months, the leaders of the Tandang Sora Outreach do not take chances. Seeing the need for an empowered fellowship, the Prayer Ministry was put up to guard the lives of the brethren against the attack of the enemies and seek future directions. God for sure won’t fail the faithfulness and tenacity of these warriors. Prayers indeed assure the church longevity.
